A mixtape, at its core, is simply a cassette tape… Born in the Bronx in the 70s with pioneers like Grandmaster Flash, DJ Kool Herc, and Afrika Bambaataa who recorded their sets to immortalize the energy of block parties, it exploded in the 90s: no rules, no imposed format, just raw, vibrant sound, often bolder than an album. I didn't live through that era, but I'm a huge fan. All the mixtapes featured here on my site come from my personal collection—pieces I've personally selected, experienced, edited, and digitized with passion. Not impersonal streaming: real sound, with a story behind each tape. Enjoy!
